What is the role of Christian Science nurse?

Arden Wood Christian Science nurses training consists of four courses that address both the practical work and the spiritual ministry of this specialized form of healing. The first course, CSNA I, is the foundation for this work and addresses spiritual qualities, ethics and sound judgment along with basic skills in supporting a patient’s needs of cleanliness, comfort, communication, activity and mobility, rest, nourishment and surroundings.

The CSNA II course deepens the understanding and work with the spiritual ministry of this specialized healing art. It also teaches more advanced ethical and practical skills in support of this spiritual ministry, including providing up to full assistance with a patient’s care. This course continues to reinforce the standard of excellence called for in the preparation for and representation as a Christian Science nurse.
